For as long as I can remember I have had a few passions, two of which are art & science. As a boy I could usually be found either drawing or playing with some kind of science toy. I have just as many fond memories of my first microscope as my first colored pencil set. Now, years later, as an adult those interests have only matured. Sure, I go through different phases. Sometimes it is graphic design and geology. Other times it is photography and physics. Still other times it is motion graphics and meteorology or package design and paleontology. My brain gets its fix off the mix of the logical scientific on one hand and the creative artistic on the other hand.

Then throw in a few talents and skills in music composition, public speaking and writing and a love of travel and adventure and you have all the makings of a good hobby if not a career path.

But there is one thing that seems to tie all these things together. I grew up in a Christian home. Over the years as my faith has grown (and I have made it more and more personal) I began to see the Bible not just as fantastic stories or fantastical myths but as real history. So, my love of art and science and adventure found a nesting place in the amazing true story contained in the Bible. My creativity and my discovery found a place in this tall-tale called reality.

So, this portfolio should be viewed as an experiment in combinations : Creationism and Creativity. Artifacts and Artwork. Origins and Originality. Intelligent Design and …well, Intelligent Design.
